Our CMC BA-130 Break Away Mount from Boaters Catalog is designed for duck hunters and/or fisherman that use their boat in shallow 
stumpy areas. It allows small boats and motors to slide over submerged logs or debris at low speeds to get to a downed bird or your favorite fishing hole.
The BA-130 is rated for outboard motors up to a maximum of 130 H.P.

Description
Break Away Mount
The CMC BA-130 Break Away Mount is rated for outboard motors up to a maximum of 130 H.P. The unit is mounted between the boat transom and the outboard motor. It is designed to help minimize damage to the outboard motor and boat transom only when an obstruction is encountered while running at speeds under 5 M.P.H in the forward direction.
As it encounters an obstruction momentum causes motor to deflect and rotate up to 45 degrees to slide over the obstruction. A draw bar spring is incorporated in the unit to help return the motor to its normal position. The draw bar spring also holds the motor at the normal position while operating in the reverse direction at low R.P.M. The BA-130 is not designed to encounter obstructions while the boat is being operated in the reverse direction.
The unit is pre-drilled with the standard B.I.A. whole pattern. For motors that have clamps with thumb screws, CMC part #13022 Transom Clamp Adapter is required. Product weight is 28 pounds (shipping weight is 33 pounds) and carries a limited 1-year warranty against defects in workmanship.
WARNING: The BA-130 is rated for outboard motors up to a maximum of 130 H.P. Do not encounter obstructions at speeds over 5 M.P.H and only in the forward direction. The BA-130 is not designed to encounter obstructions while the boat is being operated in the reverse direction.
For installation of motors mounted with transom clamps, an adapter kit is available. This adapter kit is made for quick and easy installation of these type motors.
Works with CMC PT-130 Tilt & Trim, ATLAS THT-130C Tilt & Trim (our larger trim units sized for standard outboard engine mounting with BIA hole pattern).
Use with the PT-130 / THT-130C for installation of smaller motors mounted with transom clamps. Also works with ATLAS Micro Jacker.
This adapter kit is made for quick and easy installation of these transom clamp type of motors.
If your motor has clamps that tighten inside of the splash well, you will need to purchase this transom clamp adapter, if yyou want it to fit on Tilt & Trim units or Jack Plates designed for standard, full-size motor mounting.
Some motors are too big for the smaller Tilt & Trims or jack plates, but they need an adapter to fit on larger plates, these are the adapter plates.
